Licensed Clinical Psychologist

As a therapist with over 25 years of experience working across educational and clinical settings, I am trained in a number of modalities to meet your specific needs.

Treatment Approach

I offer care that is based on a foundation of Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) principles. During treatment, you will have the opportunity to learn how to reframe unhelpful thought patterns. You will also be introduced to strategies to help you regulate your emotions while committing to behaviors aligned with your values.

Additionally, there is a growing body of research that supports the practice of self-compassion and mindfulness. If your mind is overwhelmed by past struggles or future worries, it can lead to feelings of unhappiness and anxiety. Being present, without judging yourself or others, has been shown to reduce stress and overall emotional reactivity.

What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.
– Ralph Waldo Emerson
