Licensed Clinical Psychologist

I first earned my BA in psychology from Columbia University, followed by my doctorate in psychology from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology/Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University. In addition to being licensed in Maine and New York, I hold the Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) credential from the PSYPACT Commission, which allows me me to provide out-of-network care for clients in participating states across the country. My previous roles as a school psychologist and special education chairperson have guided my work successfully, not only with students, but also with educators experiencing frustration and burnout in a fast-paced, demanding world. I understand academic institutions from the inside, as well as those who learn and work in them.

For college and graduate students, academic life can bring intense pressures like perfectionism, high expectations, and big transitions, often far from home. Your appointments can typically fit around your class schedule, even as it changes each semester. Additionally, because I’m licensed in Maine and New York, along with PSYPACT authorization, we may also be able to keep working together during breaks or after graduation.

Treatment Approach

I offer care that is based on a foundation of Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) principles. During treatment, you will have the opportunity to learn how to reframe unhelpful thought patterns. You will also be introduced to strategies that help to regulate strong emotions while committing to behaviors that are more aligned with your values.
