Currently, I am in-network for the following insurance providers in Maine and New York:

  • Aetna
  • Anthem
  • Carelon Behavioral Health

Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions of your insurance provider:

  1. Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
  2. What is my deductible and has it been met?
  3. How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
  4. What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
  5. Is approval required from my primary care physician?

I can also provide superbills for those who are seeking reimbursement for out of network payments.

Timely payment is always appreciated.

No Surprises Act

The No Surprises Act (NSA) is a federal law that became effective on January 1, 2022.  This law applies to clients who are uninsured or are choosing to pay out of pocket to meet with a clinician who is out of their insurance network. Under this law, psychologists and other health care providers are required to provide these clients with a good faith estimate of the costs for their care in writing ahead of their first therapy appointment.

No-Shows and Cancellations

No-shows and cancellations that are made less than 48 hours before your scheduled appointment will incur a fee of $150 as this time was reserved just for you. Insurance companies do not cover missed appointments or late cancellations, and this fee will be billed directly to you.

Emergencies, of course, do happen. If you are dealing with a genuine emergency or become ill, please reach out to me as soon as you can. I am happy to discuss exceptions on a case by case basis.
